Katy Perry’s long-awaited album, 143, has finally hit the airwaves today (September 20) and it’s brimming with dance pop anthems and fun collaborations, including “Gimme Gimme” with 21 Savage, “I’m His, He’s Mine” with doechii, “Artificial” with JID and our personal favorite, “Gorgeous” with Kim Petras.
The MTV VMAs Video Vanguard recipient shared the special meaning behind the name of her record, saying that it’s her “angel number” and has assisted her throughout the last few years.
“A couple years ago, we were going through a little bit of a hard time medically in our family, and it was a little bit scary, and I started seeing 143 in many different wants, not just on the phone. I really believe it was my angels, my guides, saying ‘I love you. We got you. We’re going to protect you. You’re exactly where you’re meant to be. You’re on the path.”
