This week is an important time for the NFL Draft as the 2023 Reese’s Senior Bowl will take place (Feb. 4) in Mobile, Alabama. Someone who has stood out amongst the invitees is big 6’8” right tackle Dawand Jones out of The Ohio State University.
Jones has captured attention first-off for his massive size as he stands at 6’8”, as previously mentioned while having the wingspan of a person who is 7’5″. Most importantly, Jones is standing out for his tremendous performance throughout the first couple of days at practice. Jones even received immense praise from one of the all-time greats in Steelers head coach, Mike Tomlin.

With the buzz surrounding Jones this week, his draft stock has suddenly risen, as many are now projecting him to be picked anywhere in the first two rounds of April’s upcoming draft in Kansas City.
That said, Jones had a terrific career at Ohio State as he earned a spot on the Second-team All-Big Ten team in both 2021 and 2022 while finishing off his collegiate career as a First-Team All-American.
Every offseason, teams look for ways to improve their offensive line; therefore, there is always a market for players like Jones. Some notable teams that stand out from the rest in terms of heavily looking for right tackles include the Steelers, Commanders, Bengals, Colts, and Buccaneers, to name a few.
Overall, Dawand Jones has shown how great he is on the field and will look to continue this push forward as we advance closer to the 2023 NFL Draft.
