Olivia Rodrigo is gifting fans with the ultimate virtual prom experience!
On Wednesday (June 23), the “deja vu” singer announced that she will be streaming the SOUR Prom Concert Film on YouTube on June 29th at 8:30PM PT. During the special event, Rodrigo will perform a select number of songs off of her record-breaking debut album, SOUR.
Prior to the concert film’s premiere, there will be a SOUR Prom Pre-Party presented by T-Mobile on the singer’s YouTube page at 8:00PM PT. She will be answering fan questions and sharing special behind the scenes stories on the making of the film.
After the event, an exclusive line of SOUR Prom merchandise will be available for purchase on her website. You will be able to check out those items here.
The prom-themed announcement fittingly arrives days after Rodrigo announced that she recently graduated from high school. To tease the event, the singer surprised a number of fans on Tuesday (June 22) by going to their houses and asking them if they would want to go to prom with her.
According to one of the lucky fans, the HSMTMTS star came to her house with flowers, merchandise, and a poster that reads, “Prom would be brutal without you.” Those who were surprised had the opportunity to talk and take pictures with the singer during her visit.
As expected, many of those chosen fans took to Twitter to share their experiences. One user mentioned how sweet the singer was when she met her. In her tweet featuring a photo with Rodrigo, she said, “IM CRYING I WILL NEVER SHUT UP ABOUT THIS.”

In a video posted to Rodrigo’s official HQ account, we see a montage of the singer meeting those lucky fans. She graciously shows up to their doorsteps with hugs and a bouquet of flowers. How cute is that?
