We may need to give Olivia Rodrigo a speeding ticket for how quickly she swept up the Internet with her iconic hit, “drivers license.”
The artist has made incredible strides with her first-ever single. After its debut release in January, the song entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 1 and it doesn’t look like it’s leaving that spot anytime soon.
It’s been six weeks since Rodrigo dropped the song, and it still remains on its throne. “Drivers license” is the first debut single in history to remain at No.1 for the first six weeks. A remarkable milestone for the just-turned 18-year-old Asian-American singer/songwriter! She took to social media to thank her fans and everyone who has listened to the track.

Talk about an incredible late birthday gift! Along with breaking records, this past weekend, the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star’s song was the center of a sketch on the legendary Saturday Night Live!
This is only the beginning for Rodrigo and we can’t wait for future music from her! But for now, we’ll still be singing our hearts out to “drivers license.”
