Clarice Lam is taking her pastry-making expertise to the judging table in Prime Video’s new baking competition series, Dr. Seuss Baking Challenge!
For those who don’t know, Dr. Seuss Baking Challenge contains bakers from all over the country who will take part in designing creations inspired by the wonderful world of Dr. Seuss. Dr. Seuss is known for his millions of beloved stories, such as The Cat in the Hat and How the Grinch Stole Christmas, making it a must-watch for the whole family.
With two judges deciding on who is the best baker among the contestants — Joshua John Russell and, of course, the woman of the hour, Clarice Lam — reality competition series will be hosted by Sister, Sister star Tamera Mowry-Housley.
Lam is a world-renowned pastry chef known for opening a Brooklyn-based bakery, The Baking Bean. When asked by Celeb Secrets reporter Rob Cao if she was a fan of Dr. Seuss before landing this role, Lam said, “Yes, I was absolutely a fan of Dr. Seuss; my mom used to read me like all of the Dr. Seuss books when I was a kid right before bed, my favorite one is Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, I love Dr. Seuss.”
In addition to owning The Baking Bean, Lam has appeared on several television shows, such as Best Baker in America, in which she finished as a semifinalist and has worked on Cravings, which is the lifestyle brand of world-famous supermodel Chrissy Teigen.
When asked about when her passion for baking began, Lam said, “I think when I lived in Paris is what really sparked my passion for baking and just being in awe of all the beautiful pastries and the technique behind it is what really inspired me to become a pastry chef.”
All in all, Dr. Seuss Baking Challenge is set to be a show of happiness and nostalgia that will take many of us to some childhood memories and expand the Dr. Seuss world to the younger generation.
Celeb Secrets sat down with Clarice to talk all about Dr. Seuss Baking Challenge, the process of landing her role as a judge, and her passion for pastry making.
