The NHL’s hit behind-the-scenes documentary Quest For The Stanley Cup is returning on Friday, May 27.
The NHL announced this week that a sneak peek for the new season will premiere on NHL Network and the NHL’s YouTube and Facebook pages Friday night, May 20. Then, a week later, the seventh season of its prized docu-series will return and premiere exclusively on ESPN+ in America, and on YouTube in Canada and elsewhere.
This year’s iteration of the series will analyze and discuss the remaining eight teams in the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs — the Calgary Flames, Carolina Hurricanes, Colorado Avalanche, Edmonton Oilers, Florida Panthers, New York Rangers, St. Louis Blues and Tampa Bay Lightning — and their chances of winning it all in 2022.

The Quest Begins, a preview which will be available on May 20, will serve as a full recap of the First Round, analyzing which teams won and lost, key moments, and more. Then, the remaining seven episodes will focus on the respective remaining teams.
Quest For The Stanley Cup premiered in 2016 to critical acclaim, and is a two-time Emmy-nominated series. Each episode of the new season, produced by NHL Chief Content Officer and Senior Executive Vice President Steve Mayer and Steven Stern, and narrated by actor Corey Stoll, will premiere at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
