The trailer for the movie of the summer, Barbie is finally here!
The preview for the new Greta Gerwig directed-film was released earlier today (April 4), accompanied by an array of movie posters. The additional information revealed the cast for the highly-anticipated movie, which is set to release July 21, 2023.

Leading the film are Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, set to play “Barbie” and “Ken.” However, the cast of the film is quite eminent – with names like Michael Cera, Dua Lipa, Issa Rae, Will Ferrell, Emma Mackey and America Ferrera.
The star-studded cast will also include – Ana Cruz Kayne, Hari Nef, Alexandra Shipp, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Ariana Greenblatt, Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, Scott Evans, Jamie Demetriou, Connor Swindells Rhea Perlman, Sharon Rooney, Nicola Coughlan, Ritu Arya, Kate McKinnon and Helen Mirren.
Every character got a poster and a brief description. Each doll featured a different skillset and various honors – minus the Kens who are mostly “just Ken.”

According to Vogue, the plot of the film centers around a doll living in Barbieland who “takes on an adventure in the real world – discovering along the way that perfection can only truly be found within.”
The trailer gives us a look into the film’s take on the Mattel doll universe – which features vibrance within the Barbie and Ken characters in a world filled with pure pink perfection. Although there’s still plenty of questions about the plot, the sneak peek let’s us know just “Fun, Fun, Fun!” this film is about to be.
