After only a week’s notice, ZAYN dropped his third studio album Nobody Is Listening on Friday and it has been on repeat ever since.
This album is an intimate experience from start to finish. Carefully pieced together and so well-balanced, there is no doubt that there was incredible thought into creating this album. Not a single song feels out of place and it is smooth sailing all the way through.

#1 (BEST) – “River Road”
It may be the last track of the album, but it’s made such a lasting impression that in our opinion makes it the best. The isolated guitar matched with his soothing vocals brings the album to a stunning end. The track questions if there is something more outside of the life we’re living right now and expresses the message of feeling like life is at a standstill. A tune that makes listeners reminisce and reflect.
#2 – “When Love’s Around” feat. Syd
Syd’s sweet melodic voice tied in with ZAYN’s makes this love song so sweet and sensational to listen to. The soft vibes and beats evoke the feeling of dancing on cloud nine.
#3 – “Better”
An early release prior to the album, but still remains an absolute favorite. It’s a song about giving love a try again between a relationship that had many trials and tribulations.
#4 – “Connexion”
The acoustic guitar on this track matched with his lyrics of finding the connection to a missing piece will make you fall in love. The addition of the equalizer gives the song a unique sound.
#5 – “Tightrope”
A soft love song about preparing to risk it all despite the insecurities it may bring. Around the end of the track, ZAYN sings a snippet of “Chaudhvi Ka Chand,” a song in Urdu by Bollywood musician, Mohammad Rafi expressing the beauty of his love interest.
#6 – “Unf***witable”
A song about being only able to rely on yourself and knowing what you’re worth. While not being your typical upbeat power move pop song, this track still makes you feel empowered and untouchable.
#7 – “Outside”
This song was co-written with Khalid, about asking a loved one to let them into their lives or allow them to leave. A track that will break listeners’ hearts as they hear ZAYN’s pleads to let himself into his loved ones’ life.
#8 – “Calamity”
The first track of the album as well as the first song that ZAYN is featured rapping. It’s a new and interesting route he’s taken and it’s exciting to see where this will lead. It’s the perfect opening that sets the mood for the rest of the album.
#9 – “Sweat”
The intimate lyrics combined with drums heightens emotions and will send listeners into overdrive. The song sounds like something you would hear in a James Bond film.
#10 – “Vibez”
While the lyrics are just a tad bit cringeworthy, the song definitely lives up to its name and gives extreme vibes.
#11 (WORST) – “Windowsill” feat. Devlin
Similar to “Sweat,” a very intimate yet explicit song that goes along with the vibe of the album.
