Sabrina Carpenter is headed towards a new path becoming a producer!
From Disney Channel‘s Girl Meets World to her successful Netflix movie, Work It, the singer-songwriter is transitioning into a new genre with her new thriller-comedy film, Emergency.
The “Skin” singer shares with Flaunt Magazine how great the cast of her new film is and how much fun they have together on set.
“Last night, we were on set and they started playing ‘No Diggity’ at 3 am in the woods, and everyone just got up, and the music was blasting in the middle of the forest, and we all started singing. It was the greatest”, states Carpenter over a Zoom call as the film is currently shooting.
Emergency was originally a Sundance short film that became a full length feature as the plot involves a group of college students with a destination of a night filled with partying, where they soon become caught in an unusual emergency.
“Having that much energy in the middle of the night isn’t usually my forte, because I’m much more of a morning person. It’s been a very interesting experience, getting loopy around eleven and having to be professional when I’m usually very silly” Carpenter shares with Flaunt Magazine.
The Girl Meets World actress has taken time to establish her very own production company, At Last Productions, to produce films as she always finds herself looking at things on set with a producer hat on. It has led her to not only star in, but to produce Netflix’s upcoming movie, Alice, which is currently in pre- production.
The movie will also be a musical and a reimagining of the famous Lewis Carroll’s, Alice In Wonderland. Not only will Carpenter’s very own production company produce the film, she has teamed up with Elysa Dutton and Leslie Morgenstein, who have produced Work It, a Netflix Film starring Sabrina Carpenter.

As for the singer’s hopes for the film, Alice, she tells Flaunt Magazine, “My hopes are to bring to life a version of the story no one has ever seen before. Telling the story through the music is pivotal. I want to bring people in with a dynamic vision.”
“Because that story is so whimsical and otherworldly, I want to make it feel real and grounded and about real people, while also outside of your imagination.” adds Carpenter.
