Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik might just be the hottest new couple of 2023!
The two first sparked rumors of a relationship when Malik and his mother both followed Gomez on Instagram — making her 1 out of the 18 people Malik follows — and then truly broke the Internet after being spotted kissing during a dinner date in New York City.
“Selena and Zayn went out in SoHo in New York City last night at around 10:30 pm. They walked in holding hands and were kissing. Most restaurant staff and restaurantgoers didn’t notice them. It seemed like they were comfortable together and it was clear that it was a date,” shared an eyewitness to ET.
The two were the subject of rumors after TikTok user @klarissa.mpeg uploaded a text exchange with a friend who identified herself as the pair’s hostess at an undisclosed restaurant in the city.
Before releasing a screenshot of their discussion, the TikTok user explained that she and her pal both work at hotspots frequented by celebrities: “Tell me how Selena Gomez and Zayn just walked into [restaurant] hand in hand making out and I seated them.”

Fans have also started sharing a red carpet-exchange from the early 2010s in which the “Calm Down” singer was asked which member of One Direction she would most like to kiss.
“Oh no” she replied before quickly answering “Zayn” with a giggle.
This might just be the cutest full circle moment for the pop stars as they have been emerging as a new couple after years of saying Zayn is her celebrity crush.
