At the United States Gymnastics Championship on June 6, Simon Biles became the first American woman to win the U.S. Gymnastics Title seven times.
Since 2013, no other gymnasts won against Simon at nationals, her award broke her tie with Clara Schroth Lomady – who won between the years of 1940s to early 1950s.
Team USA took to Twitter to share the groundbreaking news captioning it, “Every time she’s competed, she’s won. Seven-time U.S. all-around champion @Simone_Biles. #USGymChamps.”

Winning the U.S Gymnastics title in Texas by a point margin of 4.7, Biles won three out of the four events. Throughout the competition, she dazzled the judges, especially when she included her brand new move titled, “The Biles.”

At the end of the competition, the five-time Olympic medalist had the highest scores on floor exercises, the beam, and the vault. Leaving her with a combined total score of 119.650. At second place was Suni Lee, with 114.950 combined points. Jordan Chiles scored third place with 114.450 total points.
Each athlete is likely to take three of the four spots open on the U.S. team, as the team will be headed to the 2021 Tokyo Games as Olympic trials will occur later this June starting June 24 and ending June 27.
