Season 3 of Stranger Things was released nearly 3 years ago, and a lot of questions were left unanswered. Answers are finally starting to unfold though, as Netflix revealed a 3-minute trailer for Volume 1 of the series finale today (April 12).
In the trailer, we see glimpses of the group of kids trying to live their life in normalcy. This seems impossible as people in town just see them as weird and abnormal. Max still seems to be grieving the loss of her brother Billy in the trailer as well as she talks to him at his grave. But it is also at his grave we see Max being lifted in the air! Could this mean she has powers too?
And for those wondering if Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) has her powers back after losing them at the end of season three…it seems like she does not. She explains this to Dr.Owens in the trailer, but he seems to ignore it and instead warns Eleven by saying, “A war is coming.” He also explains that to win this war they need her back.
Stranger Things has always mixed horror with a more playful side of the characters. This trailer shows more of the darker aspects of the show and seems to be the scariest season yet as creatures from the upside-down take over Hawkins once again. Fans even get to see the new villain that takes on a human form but has a monstrous look to him.
Fans will have to wait to see what happens in Volume 1 of the two-part season finale when it is released on Netflix, May 27th.
