Gabby Thomas’ resume includes a Harvard degree in epidemiology and now an Olympic bronze medal.
The first time Olympian was a shoe-in for a medal after running the then-second fastest time ever in 200 meters at 21.61 seconds.
The sprinter did not match her time in Olympic Qualifications, but she still managed to snag a medal with a 21.87 behind Jamaica’s Elaine Thompson-Herah and Namibia’s Christine Mboma, who ran 21.53 and 21.81, respectively.
Americans are now referring to Gabby Thomas as “Wonder Woman” because she can really do it all. And it looks like we may see a return of this superhero in the next Olympic games.
“Paris 2024, I want to go for that gold, so you will see me there. I will be fighting for it,” she told NBC.
