It was mutant turtles against mutant students at the weekend box office and the turtles won! Michael Bay’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, sequel to the 2014 movie, beat out X-Men: Apocalypse earning over $35 million in North America.
The romance drama Me Before You debuted in third place. Even though, The Lonely Island’s Pop Star scored awesome reviews, it landed in eighth place. Money Monster, Love & Friendship and Zootopia fell out of the top 10.
