“The Bachelor” Season 26 Finale Recap: The Shocking Finale to Clayton’s Journey

(ABC/Craig Sjodin)

Gabby and Clayton Talk

After Gabby’s dramatic exit she joined Jesse on-stage with the in-studio audience. As Gabby takes the stage her grandpa, who we stan, cheers and gives her a hug. Gabby tells Jesse how hard it was for her to watch the show back. She tells Jesse how she was feeling during the break-up saying, “I was angry. I felt betrayed and hurt.” She tells Jesse she was in love with Clayton and he was a safe space for her.

When Clayton comes out to speak to Gabby they both share a hug. It seems as Gabby no longer holds anger for him and just wanted some closure. Gaby explains to Clayton how mislead she felt after watching it back, especially when she was deciding to leave or not.

Clayton apologizes for what he put Gabby through. She told Clayton, “His transparency has conditions.” This was because Clayton was big on sharing what had happened with Susie, but he seemed to leave out that he already told Susie he loved her the most. Clayton kept telling Gabby that he loved the both of them. That’s when Gabby stopped him and said that if you really loved someone you wouldn’t hurt them.

Clayton ended the conversation just trying to apologize to Gabby for what had happened.
