Some sad news broke on Thursday night as TMZ reported the passing of Lisa Marie Presley. Presley was the only daughter of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley.
She is survived by her mother, Priscila, her daughters Riley, Finley, and Harper, and her ex-husband Michael Lockwood.
Early in the day, TMZ had reported that Presley had been rushed to the hospital after going into full cardiac arrest at home; after being found by a housekeeper, Presley’s former husband, Michael, was able to perform CPR on her, and she regained her pulse, but ultimately it seems as if Presley never fully recovered from being in cardiac arrest.
Besides being known for being the lone child of “The King,” Presley had a great music career as her first album, “To Whom It May Concern,” reached gold with the RIAA. Presley has also been known for being in high-profiled relationships, including short-term marriages with “The King of Pop,” Michael Jackson, and long-time actor Nicolas Cage.
Presley’s most recent public appearance took place at the Golden Globe Awards this past Tuesday as she attended the event in support of Austin Butler, who ended up winning an award for his portrayal of Priscilla’s father, Elvis.
Besides losing her father at a young age, Presley also went through significant heartbreak just a few years ago as her son, Michael, ended his life in 2020. With that said, Presley went through many tough times in her life and has now passed away at age 54.
We send prayers and well wishes to Presley, her loved ones, and her fans at this challenging time.
