Katie Thurston will go down in history as one of the most sex-positive Bachelorette’s. To go along with the iconic promo for the season “find out what all the buzz is about” in reference to the vibrator Thurston brought to her limo entrance during season 25 of The Bachelor – the franchise decided to move fast and find out who will be “The Greatest Lover of All Time.”
Podcaster, Heather McDonald joined Katie to host her very first group date. This time around, the leading lady invited 10 men to compete for the grand title of “The Greatest Lover of All Time.”
To kick off the date, McDonald tested the contestant’s knowledge on female anatomy. However, the challenge got steamy when they were asked to prove to Katie how they would act behind closed doors or in a bedroom.
“Heather is asking us questions that I wished I would have paid more attention to in anatomy,”said Quartney a nutritional entrepreneur from Dallas.

The performances ranged from Connor Brennan’s innocent acoustic track, Tre Cooper’s erotic and hilarious puppet show, to Mike Planeta’s heartfelt poem that left Thurston in tears.
Eyes were on Mike Planeta, since he recently came out as a virgin. It did not go unnoticed that the contestant felt uncomfortable and emotional during the group date. However, when it was his turn to take center stage to share how he would be a “great lover,” he spoke from the heart and revealed why he is willing to save himself for marriage.
Planeta did not just gain the respect of the room, but also from viewers watching at home. Not to mention, It was also his honesty and bravery that won him the grand title. While America was falling in love with Planeta, Karl Smith quickly received a spot on everyone’s radar for his long and inappropriate sexual monologue.
While you would assume Planeta would get the “group date rose,” think again because Thomas Jacob earned the accolade for his open conversation with Katie. The two sat down at the evening cocktail hour to speak about their similar childhood, which pulled at Thurston’s heartstrings.
Before the show even aired, Reality Steve took to Twitter to prep Bachelor Nation for a sex-positive season. “…any thought that this franchise was gonna move away from the sex-themed dates, or numerous sexual innuendos we see season and season out, well, you can throw that idea out the window this season. There will be plenty of talk and dates that are sexual in nature,” says the investigative journalist. “The sex thing is played up more so than normal this season from what I’m being told.”
