Greg Grippo receives first one-on-one of the season
After the show premiered on June 7 on ABC, Greg Grippo quickly becomes a fan favorite and frontrunner. Therefore, it was no surprise when viewers saw his name on the very first one-on-one date card.
The date card read “Greg, let’s let our love run wild.” The 27-year-old marketing sales representative from Jersey threw on his camping-inspired flannel and told the cameras “I’m not going to lie, I’m really excited.”
Katie picked up the East Coast hunk in a red pickup truck for their fishing date. The low-key date was not glamorous, but it did hold a very special place in Katie’s heart. While fishing, Katie opened up to Grippo about her father who passed away in 2012.
After an intimate and memorable day riverside, the two sat down for dinner to get to know each other on a personal level. During the evening portion, Greg broke into tears as he shared that his father also passed away a few years ago. While he was sharing his feeling and memories of his father, Katie was visibly comforting him.
“I just want you to know that I am here for you,” he says at dinner. After finding similarities in trauma, Katie granted him a rose. The date ended with massive fireworks and kissing in the back of a pickup truck.
