When the next group card arrived – John Hersey, Andrew Spencer, Kyle Howard, Josh Tylerbest, Aaron Clancy, Brendan Scanzano, Hunter Montgomery, and Cody Menk’s names were written inside.

The morning of, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams snuck into the house wearing their best cowgirl get-ups to surprise the men with a loud wake-up call. After popping out of bed in their undies, each contestant kicked on their cowboy boots and made their way down a dirt road to “Katie’s Big Buckle Brawl.”

When they arrived at the group date – the two co-hosts and Katie had a mud wrestling ring waiting for them. The winner of the smackdown received special one-on-one time with Katie.

During an exclusive interview with US Weekly, Adams opened up about the importance of competition group dates. “You see their personality come out and see how they interact with all the other guys, like, are they offish? Are they playful? Are they competitive? Do the other guys not talk to him? She explained. “It’s a very revealing setting.”

Adams was right, as the last match between Aaron Clancy and Cody Menk brought to light a problem that was circling among the men. After Aaron dominated Cody in the messy fight, he told the cameras in a confessional that he knew Cody from back home. Apparently, rumors have surfaced that Cody was not on the show “for the right reasons,” which left a bad taste in Aaron’s mouth.

Katie confronted Aaron and Cody about the underlining issue, but Cody denied the accusations. ‘One of you are lying to me straight to my face,’ said an upset Bachelorette. ‘I just have something I need to think about.’

Later in the night, Katie decided to send Cody home. However, the plot quickly thickened when Karl approached Katie with a hidden agenda. In a controversial conversation, he shared that he thought other men in the house didn’t have the “best intentions” but wouldn’t share who.

“I don’t know how clear I can be but if you are not here for me for an engagement then get the f*** out,’ she yelled at the men after the heated conversation with Karl. “From what I am told there are multiple people who I should be looking out for.”

After Katie left the room, the men started pointing fingers at one another. However, Karl stepped up to the plate and confessed it was him who spoke to Katie. The episode ended on a cliff-hanger, with no rose ceremony, several men devastated, and one villain stirring the pot.
