Who’s Going Home and Who Is Going to Hometowns?
Considering there are only two roses left to give out, the ceremony was relatively short. Katie begins by giving her first rose to Blake, who has seemed confident about making it to hometowns. She then gives her next and final rose to Justin, which means it’s time for fan-favorite Andrew to head home.
Even the other men seemed shocked when Katie announced Justin’s name instead of Andrew. She asks to walk him out and takes time to sit with him and explain her choice.
Many tears were shed, and Katie finds herself sobbing on the steps of the mansion. “It’s the first decision I had to make where I’m hoping it was the right choice.” We can’t help but think that this isn’t the last we will see of Andrew.
Sure enough, Andrew shows back up to Katie’s suite with smiles and laughs. They both seem happy to see each other. Katie admits that she still cares for him and how hard her decision to send him home was. “I’m glad that we met,” Thurston says.
Upon leaving for the second time this episode, Andrew leaves a letter behind for Katie.
In classic Bachelor and Bachelorette fashion, Katie runs after Andrew and embraces him before he could get away. Shocking fans, she asks him, “if there’s a way to stay a little longer, would you want to?” But Andrew knows that he wasn’t her first choice and felt too hurt to stay. “I want my future wife to choose me. And I wasn’t chosen.”
After all of those twists and turns, Andrew gets in the car and heads home. Bachelor nation exploded on Twitter, calling for Andrew to be the next bachelor.
