The 2016 Miss America contestants spent yesterday getting to know Atlantic City and continuing the mission of Miss America Serves last night (September 2).
The contestants volunteered at the Atlantic City Rescue Mission, working the prep and service lines in the kitchen, and meeting with mothers and children living at the Family Life Center.The Atlantic City Rescue Mission has been serving the state of New Jersey since 1964, providing hot food and shelter to New Jersey residents, in addition to offering a growing array of programs. The Miss America Organization is thrilled to be working together again.
Later in the evening, the contestants were invited to a 95th Anniversary Celebration, generously hosted by The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino. The contestants enjoyed a delicious dinner at the H20 Pool & Bar while taking in the beautiful view of the Atlantic City skyline.
Miss America 2016 airs LIVE from Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall on Sunday, September 13 @ 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
