TikTok superstar Ashley Newman is treating us to new music to help lift our spirits during quarantine, and we’re loving it. The Texas-born singer got her start after posting a cover of Beyonce’s “Halo” that went viral, and over the past two years, Ashley’s racked up close to 3 million followers on TikTok!
Ashley was set to hit the road on The Boys of Summer Tour, but since that’s been postponed due to COVID-19, she’s been spending time in the studio and recording some super sweet tunes. Ashley’s latest single, “U2stay,” dropped yesterday and the lyric video is just as dope as the song itself! “
Ashley shares, “U2Stay’ is about a boy who I was never really interested in until he lost interest in me. I realized what I miss out on by not being with him and ‘U2stay’ shows how the roles reversed to me begging him to stay. I hope listeners relate to the message and love the song as much as I loved making it!”
