Our spidey-senses are sensing a heartwarming moment!
Yesterday (Feb, 2), British actor Tom Holland appeared on BBC’s The One Show alongside co-star Mark Wahlberg to talk about their upcoming film Uncharted which is set to release on Feb. 18.
After hosts Alex Jones and Ronan Keating talked all things Uncharted and brought up the 25-year-old’s recent success with Spider-Man: No Way Home, the topic was quickly changed to Holland’s recent role announcement where he is set to play Fred Astaire.
This won’t be the first time the actor has played an actor and dance legend. The former Brit school alumni played Billy Elliot in The West End, and he admitted he only auditioned for the role because of his old dance teacher, Lynn Page.
To Holland’s surprise, the hosts pulled up a video message from Page, giving her best advice to her former dance student.
“We thought you might need a bit of advice,” the hosts said. “So we got in touch with his lady named Lynn Page, your very first dance teacher.”
Holland’s face quickly turned to shock as the video started to play with Page telling him.
“I can’t think of anybody more deserving to play Fred Astaire than you,” she explains. “Everybody loved Fred, he made dancing look so easy. You and I know it’s because of all the hours of practice he put in. You’ve done so many of those hours of practice already, with your training. My advice to you would be to close your eyes, trust your feet, dance, soar, and show the world what it takes to make it look that easy.”

Once the video ended the actor was left in shock with a big smile on his face.
“Where did you get that from?! Jeez! She sent me to my first Billy Elliot audition, so if it wasn’t for Lynn… where did you get that?! That’s amazing, thank you guys, I appreciate that!” the actor said.
The hosts replied with a laugh explaining that they can “do things” since they’re The One Show.
