Disney Channel‘s new series Andi Mack is making its world premiere tonight, and the show’s leading boys Joshua Rush and Asher Angel are dishing all about it!
For those of you that aren’t aware, Andi Mack is a contemporary, coming-of-age story about a relatable girl named Andi (Peyton Elizabeth Lee) who’s trying to determine where she fits in and the many amazing ways she can live her life. Did you know the series was created by Terri Minsky, who was the mastermind behind Lizzie McGuire?
On the eve of her 13th birthday, Andi’s life goes from routine to roller coaster overnight when her free-spirited older sister Bex (Lilan Bowden) returns home with a revelation that changes everything, and sends her on an uncharted course of self-discovery. At least she’s in good company; her best friends, Cyrus (Joshua Rush) and Buffy (Sofia Wylie), are also figuring out their places in the world. Along the way, Andi learns that sometimes the unexpected, like hanging out with her crush Jonah Beck (Asher Angel), is what makes life great.
Celeb Secrets caught up with Rush and Angel recently to talk about what we can expect from the series, that MAJOR plot twist that’s revealed in the premiere, and filming on-location in Utah.
