Young Hollywood’s biggest musicians and Nickelodeon stars, along with today’s young community leaders came together for the 2015 Nickelodeon HALO Awards at Pier 36 on Saturday evening (November 14) in New York City.
The special event, which honored young community leaders Ethan Cruikshank, Riley Gantt, Joshua Williams and Ruchita Zaparde, featured mind-blowing performances from Flo Rida, DNCE featuring Joe Jonas, Tori Kelly and WALK THE MOON from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Instant Mom‘s Sydney Park and Make It Pop‘s Megan Lee, Louriza Tronco, Erika Tham and Dale Whibley along with host Nick Cannon encouraged children across the country to “help and lead others” in their own community throughout the show.
Every With Way‘s Rahart Adams, Bella and the Bulldogs‘ Brec Bassinger and Coy Stewart, and 100 Things to Do Before High School‘s Isabela Moner also participated in the show, where they were put to the test in a series of in-show physical challenges that helped raise money for the organizations of the HALO Award honorees.
In addition to Nickelodeon’s biggest live-action stars, Justin Bieber stopped by Pier 36 to receive the first-ever HALO Hall of Fame Award. The HALO Hall of Fame Award is an honor given to a celebrity who helps and leads others by making the world a better place. During his acceptance speech, Bieber addressed the recent tragedy in France and asked to have a moment of silence for all of those affected.
With only a few minutes left until the show was over, girl group Fifth Harmony took the stage for an epic performance of their hit “Worth It.” Talk about a finale!
