If you thought Big Time Rush peaked in the Nickelodeon days, think again. Fifteen years after Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega first burst onto our screens, the boys-turned-men are still living the big time — and their stop at Los Angeles’ brand-new Intuit Dome on August 26 proved it.
The show, which was completely sold out, wasn’t just another tour stop. It was a homecoming. Friends, family, and die-hard “Rushers” (including the Celeb Secrets gals, obv) packed the arena to witness a milestone night filled with nostalgia, surprises, and over 40 songs straight from the beloved Nickelodeon series. Yes, you read that right: every single song ever featured on Big Time Rush made the setlist — from massive hits like “Boyfriend” and “Til I Forget About You” to deep cuts like “Crazy for U” and even the hilariously iconic “Giant Turd Song.”
“We’re playing every song from every episode of the show,” Maslow told Celeb Secrets earlier this year. “It’s a challenge, but I believe this show is gonna be one of the most unique and creative shows we’ve ever done.”
And he wasn’t kidding.

Before BTR even hit the stage, fans were treated to a dose of pure Nickelodeon nostalgia. Katelyn Tarver, who played Jo on the show, opened with a heartfelt set of original music — “Nicer,” “Don’t Eat Pray Love,” “Japanese Cafe,” “You Don’t Know,” and “Number One” — showcasing her evolution from actress to singer-songwriter. Her soulful vocals proved that the Big Time Rush cast really is stacked with talent beyond the sitcom.
Then came Stephen Kramer Glickman, aka Gustavo Rocque, who swapped his producer’s desk for a piano bench. In true Glickman fashion, he brought both comedy and talent, delivering crowd-pleasing covers of Billie Eilish’s “bad guy,” Britney Spears’ “Toxic,” Olivia Rodrigo’s “drivers license,” The Killers’ “Mr. Brightside,” and Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club.” It was the perfect mix of nostalgia and surprise — reminding fans why Gustavo was always larger than life.

When the lights finally dropped for the main event, the arena erupted as the four men we’ve loved since 2009 hit the stage. From the first notes of “Windows Down” to the encore of “Boyfriend” and “Til I Forget About You,” the guys didn’t just perform — they entertained.
Their choreography was tight, their harmonies were sharp, and their charisma was off the charts. Each member had solo moments that allowed their individual artistry to shine, whether it was Kendall picking up a guitar for “Paralyzed,” Carlos strumming a ukulele for “Crazy for U,” or James hopping on the piano for “Stuck.”
“If we didn’t put on a great show, we could’ve had one nostalgia tour,” James reflected back in June. “But the fact that every tour keeps getting bigger… I’m so proud of the guys. We shine on stage.”
And shine, they did.

Just when fans thought they’d seen it all, the band pulled off the ultimate surprise: Jordin Sparks joined them on stage for a stunning performance of “Count On You.” The Intuit Dome shook with excitement as Sparks’ powerhouse vocals blended seamlessly with BTR’s harmonies.
The moment got even sweeter when Carlos shared that his son Ocean had been excited to meet “Jordin from Big Time Rush” backstage — proof that the next generation of Rushers is already here. Fans melted as Carlos revealed that their kids love spending time together, making the night feel even more like a family affair.

What makes BTR’s In Real Life Worldwide Tour so special is that it’s not just about reliving the past. Yes, the hockey helmet made an appearance. Yes, the “lucky comb” got its spotlight. But the guys also reminded us that they’re not stuck in 2010 — they’re seasoned performers in their 30s, some of which are fathers, and creatives who still love what they do.
“We just have fun at this point,” James told us. “We listened to the fans. All the gimmicks, all the stops are coming out. Dare I say… I might even bring a lucky comb onstage.”
The result? A show that feels both nostalgic and timeless. Fans in their 30s relived their teenage years, while younger Rushers experienced the magic of BTR for the first time.

There’s still time to experience the In Real Life Worldwide Tour, as the band will perform in Salt Lake City, Utah tonight (August 29) and Las Vegas, Nevada tomorrow (August 30) before they head overseas for a massive European leg this fall. And trust us — you don’t want to miss it. Because at the end of the day, Big Time Rush isn’t just a boy band from a Nickelodeon sitcom. They’re entertainers, storytellers, and friends who’ve managed to keep the spark alive 15 years later.
“Somehow, the momentum just keeps building,” James said. And after LA, we believe it.
The bottom line is that Big Time Rush still knows how to make it Worldwide — and this tour is the ultimate love letter to the fans who’ve been there since day one.
