America’s Got Talent returned to our televisions for another episode of Season 17’s Quarterfinal Live Shows on Tuesday (August 23), continuing with the series’ new competition format that was introduced earlier this month.
This summer, AGT is taking contestants straight from auditions to the quarterfinals. By cutting out the second round of auditions, eleven performers gear up each episode to compete for one of the two spots that guarantee them a shot at the semi-finals.
This week’s live episode of America’s Got Talent was proclaimed as one of the most competitive yet, with two golden buzzer singers, flying acrobats, and a magician turning flowers into cars- so it’s safe to say, we were expecting the same this week. Unfortunately, it only took a few acts to prove that last night’s episode was nowhere near the same as its two predecessors.
