Selena Gomez’s cooking show is officially renewed for season three on HBO Max.
By taking us into Gomez’s kitchen life, this unscripted series gives us a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes amid a celebrity cooking spree. To spice things up even further, each episode of Selena + Chef features guest appearances from top talents who each bring a unique cuisine to the table.
Best of all, there’s absolutely no need to feel guilty for binging an entire season in one sitting because it’s all for a good cause. Since the show’s recent launch in August 2020, $360,000 has been raised in support of 23 different charities.
Every star chef arrives on set (a.k.a. Gomez’s home kitchen) to honor one philanthropic cause per episode and this trend will carry on into the third season, according to a press release.
In light of the pandemic, many of us have been forced to stay home far longer than anticipated, so we’re surely in need of all the cooking inspiration we can get at this point!

Upon receiving the news, Gomez took to Instagram where she shared a sneak peek of all the funny moments fans can expect to see soon. The hilarious clip highlights a parody version of your standard microwave which propels the loudest beeping noise every single time you finish heating up even the smallest of snacks. Annoying, right?!
After shedding light on some of the most infuriating struggles that come along with these typical microwaves, Gomez presents us with a new and fresh solution. Dubbed as the “Gomez-crowave,” this new ‘invention’ replaces any distracting beeps with bops by no other than Gomez herself.
Although the clip seems like nothing more than a fun-filled joke, it’s not a bad idea after all. Only time will tell if Gomez intends to use a real-life “Gomez-crowave” as an extra feature in season three.
