Billie Eilish was caught disguising herself as a typical audience member on The Ellen DeGeneres Show!
Although Eilish came dressed in her most casual sweatshirt, DeGeneres was quick to spot her out from the crowd! “What are you doing in my audience?,” she exclaims as soon as she sees Eilish’s platinum blonde hair pop up on a Zoom screen.
In response, the 19-year-old singer/songwriter giggles as she gushes about how she’s just another fan of DeGeneres’ timeless comedy. Then, DeGeneres invites Eilish for an interview on the big screen.
Amid the brief chat, Eilish opens up about a trending topic: her intensive six-week-long hair transformation. Since her dark black and green locks needed to be totally re-worked before they could survive the total makeover, Eilish admits her new hair do was a major time commitment. Thankfully, it paid off the the world-famous singer is looking like her best self!
While chatting about her upcoming album Happier Than Ever, Eilish reveals the title is definitely synonymous with the groove. “Everything’s new. It’s a whole new era. Yeah, I’m so excited I can’t tell you. It’s the most proud I’ve ever been of like anything I’ve created,” she says. Happier Than Ever is set for release on July 30, and DeGeneres dishes she couldn’t be more excited to give it a listen.
As if launching a whole new tracklist isn’t enough, Eilish has also been busy with a brand new book. Featuring a unique curation of photos from her childhood up to where she finds herself today, Eilish’s photo book showcases how she’s grown up over the years. She says sorting through all her old photo albums and home movies seriously took six months of digging.

“I handpicked each photo in this book and i’m so excited to share these special memories from my entire life with you,” Eilish writes in an Instagram caption. “There are so many photos that you guys have never seen before, and this was such a labor of love to put together.”
To make things interactive for the fans, Eilish even recorded an audiobook that will accompany some of her most eventful shots, so that viewers can learn the real story behind the visual piece. And of course, The Ellen Show wouldn’t be complete if everyone in the audience didn’t go home without a book copy. So yes, there was a large giveaway involved in this storytelling process!
