Davante Adams & the Las Vegas Raiders Head to LA to Face Off Against Jalen Ramsey & the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday Night Football

The Las Vegas Raiders had a very shaky start to begin their first season with Josh McDaniels as their head coach, as the team had a 2-7 record just a few weeks ago.

With that said, the Raiders are currently on a three-game winning streak and find themselves in the playoff hunt in the AFC at 5-7. Their opponent on Thursday Night Football will be the Los Angeles Rams; the Rams have had a very down season after winning the Super Bowl.

This game is one that many were circling on their calendars when the schedule was released, but things have changed as the defending champs currently sit at 3-9, which it seemed like the Raiders would be heading to just a few weeks ago but not anymore due to their sudden resurgence.

Davante Adams, whom the Raiders acquired in the offseason, has been an absolute stud throughout his first season in the silver and black; Adams and his college quarterback and current Raiders quarterback Derek Carr have incredible chemistry. Adams currently leads all wideouts with twelve touchdowns; he is also fourth in yards with 1,176 receiving yards and fifth in receptions with 79 catches.

Adams will be matched up against five-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jalen Ramsey; Ramsey and Adams have been two of the best players at their respective positions since entering the NFL, so it will be fun to watch these stars go at it.

In their three-game win streak, Adams has been the focal point in the passing game while Josh Jacobs has been the focal point on the ground; the former Alabama tailback has exploded this season as he is the current rushing leader on the season in the league with 1,303 rushing yards and is tied with Derrick Henry for the third most touchdowns amongst running backs at ten.

Jacobs and Adams have been a handful for defenses throughout the season and will be tough to stop for the struggling Rams. Additionally, the Rams will be without superstar defensive tackle Aaron Donald as he has been ruled out with an ankle injury.

As for the Rams, the team has been in a slump amid offensive line changes in the offseason and in-season injuries to go along with an injury to Matthew Stafford. With that said, Baker Mayfield, who was claimed on Tuesday night after being waived by Carolina on Monday, is set to be active for tonight’s game, so it will be interesting to see if he gets some game action after being there for such a short amount of time.

As for predictions, we believe the Raiders will keep things rolling and beat the Rams 38-19. We also believe Josh Jacobs, Davante Adams, and Cam Akers will each have a touchdown in the game.
