Okay so they weren’t actually there, but the late-show performance was still loads fun!
DNCE performed on The Late Late Show with James Corden last night (November 24th) and it definitely had us moving and grooving in our PJs. The performance began with a blue-haired Joe dancing around with a gigantic cut-out of Shaq’s head. The stage was decked out with their signature DNCE balloons and many celebrity cardboard cut-outs such as Nick Jonas, Darth Vader and one of Joe’s famous exes Taylor Swift. Whittle (or should I say Beetlejuice?) and Joe hyped up the crowd with their amazing stage presence while JinJoo and Lawless impressed us with their amazing skills. From start to finish, DNCE kept it funky, fun and colorful to say the least!

DNCE formed in the summer of 2015 and introduced themselves through the surprise release of their debut single Cake By The Ocean. The front man Joe Jonas has been working to bring DNCE together after The Jonas Brothers parted ways back in 2013. Other members of the band include South Korean guitarist JinJoo, bassist/keyboardist Cole Whittle, and drummer Jack Lawless. JinJoo first met Jonas back when she was the lead guitarist for Jordin Sparks – who was the opening act in The Jonas Brothers’ 2009 world tour. She has toured with many big names such as Charli XCX and Ceelo Green. Whittle co-founded New York-based dancers Semi Precious Weapons and Lawless first started drumming for The Jonas Brothers in 2006, quickly becoming their full-time drummer.
Cake By The Ocean has become one of the most played songs at Pop Radio. It entered the Top 10 on Shazam’s US Future Hits chart with Spotify streams at 10.6 million and counting! In October, the band made their first national television appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Good Morning America.
