Emilia Clarke To Star In Marvel’s “Secret Invasion” on Disney Plus

Emilia Clarke is rumored to join the Marvel cast for Secret Invasion on Disney+.

The Game Of Thrones star is in her final negotiations for the series with Marvel Studios, according to an exclusive report in Variety on April 20. This marks a major change in gears for Clarke who traditionally takes on more serious roles, but we can’t wait to see her work in a different prism.

Clarke’s fellow Secret Invasion leads who are yet to be confirmed include Olivia Colman and Kingsley Ben-Adir. Meanwhile, it’s already set in stone that we can expect to see Samuel L. Jackson playing Nick Fury, in addition to Ben Mendelsohn as Talos.

The Variety report states both Marvel Studios and Clarke’s reps haven’t commented on the subject, so we’ll have to wait for the details to unfold.

Coincidentally, Clarke’s new comic cover just launched on Instagram today (April 21). Titled Mother of Madness, the narrative will follow a single mom Maya who also happens to have super powers.

“She’s funny, she’s fierce and she is just a regular woman trying to figure her shit out. But with the addition of some helpful lady powers,” Clarke says about her character Maya. “It couldn’t be more feminine, it couldn’t be more fabulous. I wrote this one from the heart and designed it with nothing but love.”

The cover is available for all to marvel (no pun intended) on Clarke’s Instagram, and the full comic is set for the stands on June 21.
