Matt James Seeking Therapist Sparks Concerns From Bachelor Fans

Bachelor Monday was a rollercoaster ride for everyone involved, especially Matt James. During the “After The Final Rose” segment, Matt seemed bothered and clearly upset while speaking about the issue surrounding ex Rachael Kirkconnell, what it was like to be the first black bachelor in history, and the tough one-on-one conversation with Michelle Young.

James did not leave the discussion on a positive note, which left Bachelor Nation concerned for his wellbeing and mental health. Therefore, we weren’t surprised when the leading man took to his personal Twitter seeking therapy on Tuesday, March 16 after his appearance on Good Morning America.

The Bachelor wrote “Google Therapist Near Me,” which collected more than one thousand comments, likes, and retweets.

“I felt the weight of everything that I was carrying throughout the season, with what we were dealing with as a country and having to explain that why it was problematic to me and our relationship, which was extremely difficult,” James told Strahan on GMA.

The cry for help tweet “set off alarm bells,” says a spokesperson from The Bachelor franchise to TMZ. Despite not knowing if Matt was serious or not, ABC is taking proper percussions to help the former Bachelor.

The network takes the mental health of its contestants seriously and offers therapists and counseling both during production and years after filming.
