It’s been a few days since rumors swirling around Joe Jonas’ and Sophie Turner’s divorce began. Within the last day, E! News obtained documents that confirmed the talk of the town with the words “irretrievably broken” used to describe the ill-fated marriage.
The couple took to Instagram Wednesday morning (September 6) with a respectable statement confessing, “Statement from the two of us: After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.”

It was only weeks ago when the actress shared glimpses of herself at the singer’s show at Yankee Stadium in New York.
The cause for this demise? Allegedly, different lifestyles.
A source close to TMZ told the site that, “She likes to party, he likes to stay at home. They have very different lifestyles.”

Jonas and Turner Met in 2016
The “Waffle House” singer met the Game of Thrones actress in 2016 after exchanging DMs and meeting up at a British pub.
The pair opted to keep their relationship relatively private but after three years of dating, the loving couple tied the knot in 2019.
They Had Two Wedding Ceremonies
The Jonas Brothers frontman and Turner celebrated with two fairytale weddings.
The first: A Vegas chapel with an infamous Elvis impersonator after the Billboard Music Awards.
Their second took place about a month later in the South of France at the Chateau de Tourreau.
The Two Share Two Daughters
The pair welcomed their first daughter Willa, 3, in 2020, and a second daughter, 14 months who’s listed as D.J. in the court document.
The singer wants to ensure that both girls are co-parented to the best of their ability stating in the doc, “A parenting plan should be established which addresses all parenting issues and contains a timeshare schedule providing for frequent and continuing contact with both parties.”
A source confessed to PEOPLE that the kids, right now, are better off living with the “Sucker” singer as Turner is jam-packed with work. They said, “She has been shooting which is why the kids have been with Joe. It’s just been easier because she’s been working for the kids to be with him because there’s some more support at home and on the road with his family. It’s something they both agreed was best.”
After welcoming Willa, the Dark Phoenix actress confessed to Elle UK that she’s itching to raise her family in England.
“I’m slowly dragging my husband back. I really love living in America but, for my mental health, I have to be around my friends and my family. And also for my daughter – I would love her to get the education and school life that I was so lucky to have.”
The First Signs of Impending Divorce
A source told PAGE SIX that the star-studded couple’s marriage has been rocky for the past year.
“An unhappy home isn’t a home, and the truth is that he and Sophie were going through it this year. There’s a lot of noise out there, but it wasn’t a straw-that-broke-the-camel’s-back situation like it’s being reported.”
The last few months, Jonas had not being wearing his wedding ring at recent concerts.
Another potential sign? The selling of their Miami mansion that they privately sold for $15 million months ago.
Another source told TMZ that Jonas decided to get divorced the moment Turner said or did something that he witnessed on their Ring camera.
