Patrick Schwartzenegger has a new home business venture and we’re telling you everything you need to know about it!
The 25-year-old model and actor is investing in Outer, a home furniture brand known for its signature outdoor sofas. Founded by Terry Lin (previous Head of Furniture Design at Pottery Barn) and entrepreneur Jiake Liu, the organization boasts an out-of-the-box business model that’s disrupting the direct to consumer retail experience of allowing potential customers to visit homes nearby to see, sit on, and feel the products in person all while meeting a neighbor and customer in the process.
To celebrate the launch, Lin, Liu and Schwartzenegger, along with real-life Neighborhood Showroom hosts and customers, John Mittelbach and Brenna Tinari (Executive, dosist), invited guests (and us!) into their home in Venice, CA earlier this week for a desert caravan-themed cocktail party to (obviously) test out the sofas ourselves in an immersive experience! While sipping on sweet cocktails, we were able to learn more about the business model while embracing the brand’s core values — community and sustainability.
The event was attended by some of Los Angeles’s top entrepreneurs, including Ariel Kaye (CEO, Parachute), Eddy Lu (CEO of GOAT), Ariel Kaye (Founder and CEO of Parachute), Nick Green (Founder and CEO of Thrive Market), Colette Shelton (Forbes Top 10 Home Influencers, 2017), and many current Outer customers who are also Neighbor Showroom hosts.
Made out of 100% recyclable materials, the Outer Sofa is the world’s most comfortable, durable and innovative outdoor sofa. It’s always clean, dry and ready to use and it’s just as comfortable as your bed. The product starts at $1,700 for a loveseat and goes up to $4,100 for the five piece set. You can learn even more about the product by visiting their official website here.
