Listen up, demigods! Progress has continued on the highly anticipated Disney+ series, Percy Jackson and The Olympians, and now the author, Rick Riordan, is on the search for the next Percy Jackson.
On his official website, Riordan discloses information on the development of the series, letting fans know that this is only a preliminary search. They still have a long way to go before making any official confirmation on the hunt for the next Percy Jackson.
Riordan also reveals more details on anyone interested in playing the role from the beloved book series. The author states that they are looking for an actor who can “play 12” to stay true to the original story and capture Percy’s growth from the ages of 12 to 16 throughout the television series. He also mentions that the team is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive cast, and Percy Jackson is not limited to a specific ethnicity. Everyone is encouraged to audition for the role by submitting a self-tape at PercyJacksonOpenCall.20thTelevision.com.
