Harry Styles made history once again on Wednesday night (August 26), opening his record-shattering 30-night sold-out residency at Madison Square Garden. Marking the only U.S. stop on his global Together, Together Tour, the kickoff turned “The World’s Most Famous Arena” into an electric, high-energy dance floor in support of his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.
Opening support was provided by DJ-producer Jamie xx, who delivered a high-vibe set of solo hits and iconic tracks from The xx before Styles and his band joined him onstage for his final song to seamless applause.
Breaking away from the setlist used across earlier tour stops in London, Amsterdam, São Paulo, and Mexico City, Styles completely rearranged the show. He opened with “Dance No More,” gave “The Waiting Game” its live debut, brought back long-time fan-favorites like “Carolina” for the first time since 2022, and performed “Kiwi” with a fresh, disco-infused arrangement.
Additionally, Styles paused the show to honor the country legend following her passing. “I just wanna give a proper thank you to all the musicians who have inspired me over the years — Dolly, we love you. Thank you so much,” Styles shared, per Variety, before her original recording of “I Will Always Love You” echoed through the venue. It was a collective moment of appreciation before the night ended with “Sign of the Times” and “Aperture.”

The 32-year-old has quite the history with The Garden, and was reminded of it when he arrived to the venue earlier in the day. In case you forgot, Styles first made his way into MSG as an 18-year-old with One Direction in 2012, before headlining his own shows for 15 nights back in 2022 for his Love On Tour.
“I was told a story when I got here today,” he said. “I had the great privilege of playing this building for the first time when I was 18 years old,” he said, also per Variety. “There’s a gentleman who’s working here who was working here then, who shared with me that when I got out of the car that day, I kissed the floor and said, ‘I’ve made it to Madison Square Garden!’”
The residency extends through a finale on October 31 — aka “Harryween” — meaning Styles will occupy the arena longer than the New York Knicks‘ home schedule before the holiday. Talk about ✨iconic✨.

For fans flocking to New York City throughout the residency, the experience continues off-stage with the official Together, Together tour pop-up shop located in the East Village at 22 E 2nd St. Running Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 7 PM until November 1, the location offers exclusive merchandise like limited-edition hoodies, tees, and totes. Eligible American Express Card Members can access additional perks, including 11 AM early access, dedicated checkout lanes, exclusive items, and a gift with purchase. Fans still hoping to secure tickets can also enter the global “We Belong Together, Together” sweepstakes through September 2 at hstyles.co.uk/wbtt for a chance to win travel, accommodations, and a pair of tickets to the September 26 show.
