Houston Astros Throw Second No-Hitter in World Series History in 5-0 Win Over Phillies to Tie the Series at 2

In game four of the 2022 MLB World Series, history was made as the Houston Astros threw just the second no-hitter in a World Series.

Starting pitcher Cristian Javier threw six no-hit innings, followed by Bryan Abreu, Rafael Montero, and Ryan Pressly, each throwing a no-hit inning of their own. Not only was history made for the Astros, but it was also a critical win as they avoided being down 3-1 to the Phillies.

This series between these heavyweights have gone back and forth as Philadelphia came out on top in game one as catcher J.T. Realmuto hit a go-ahead home run in the tenth inning, followed by a game two victory by Houston as they jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first.

In game three, the Phillies were able to answer back as they completely shut out the Astros to no runs, and then, of course, Houston now answers back with a shutout of their own and throws in a no-hitter as the cherry on top.

Game five between the top teams in baseball will take place tonight, November 3, and it will be the last game of the series to take place in Philadelphia as game six will be held in Houston, followed by a potential game seven which would also be played in Houston.

It will be interesting to see if the Phillies will answer tonight, as there has been a consistent pattern this series from each coming back with a win following a loss. If Houston can pull out another win and take a 3-2 series lead back home, it will be more difficult for Philadelphia to come back from that deficit.

As we predicted here at Celeb Secrets before the series began, we chose the Phillies to win in six games, and that prediction is still very much possible.

Let us know what you think about the Astros pitching staff throwing a no-hitter against the Phillies in game four of the World Series by either leaving a reaction at the bottom of the post or by sending us a tweet at @celebsecrets.

Don’t forget: The Houston Astros will face the Philadelphia Phillies TONIGHT, November 3rd, at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia beginning at 8:03PM ET/5:03PM PT on FOX.
