JLO’s rom-com universe is set to expand on January 27 in the Amazon Studios film, “Shotgun Wedding”.
Starring alongside Lopez will be Josh Duhamel, Jennifer Coolidge, and Lenny Kravitz.
With that said, there is a twist as this rom-com has lots of action. The flick’s premise involves a bride and groom (Lopez and Duhamel) and their guests being held hostage during their wedding ceremony.
Amazon released a trailer today, January 11, and shown in it are many laughs provided by Coolidge and lots of blood, including a scene where Lopez’s character passes out while watching Duhamel’s character drink a cup full of blood.
This will be Lopez’s first movie of 2023 and her first since marrying Ben Affleck and becoming Jennifer Lopez-Affleck. As for Duhamel, the ex-husband of Fergie has been most recently seen in the Disney+ series, The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, in which he stars alongside Gilmore Girls fan favorite Lauren Graham.
There are many more familiar faces in the movie as well as Cheech Marin, known best for being in the comedy duo “Cheech & Chong”; joining Marin in the list of familiar faces is a world-famous musician and the father of Zoe Kravitz, Lenny Kravitz. Kravitz has not acted in a film since portraying himself in the 2014 movie “Holy Ghost.”
All in all, this is set to be a fascinating movie with a star-studded cast filled with many world-renowned and beloved celebrities.
