Joe Jonas Speaks Out Regarding Divorce During Los Angeles Concert at Dodger Stadium

Don’t believe everything you hear, says Joe Jonas.

September started with a bang after the news of the impending divorce between the pop singer and actress Sophie Turner emerged.

Jonas broke his silence on the split Saturday night (September 9) at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles after staying relatively quiet about his separation from the Game of Thrones actress after filing for divorce in Miami on September 5th. The pair took to social media last week to share a joint statement addressing the rumors, but the reasonings for the divorce are nothing but speculation right now.

“After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”

The “Waffle House” singer told the Los Angeles crowd, “It’s been a crazy week” before beginning into the Jonas Brothers song “Hesitate” inspired by his relationship.

He also added, “I just wanna say, look: If you don’t hear it from these lips, don’t believe it. Okay? Thank you, everyone, for your love and support. Me and my family love you guys.”

”Hesitate” was released in 2019 and is a song penned for Turner and their love story. He shared in the band’s documentary Chasing Happiness, “‘Hesitate’ is a song I wrote. It’s like my vows before I wrote my vows. It’s my promise to Sophie. For me, it takes me to a whole different universe. I’m seeing her walk down the aisle again every time I close my eyes.”

It was announced shortly after Labor Day that the marriage between Jonas and Turner is “irretrievably broken” after four years of marriage. The couple share two daughters together – 3 year old Willa and a 14 month old daughter noted as “D.J.”

Many stories have been circulating around social media as to why the marriage has come to end. They claim that Jonas disliked Turner’s nightlife lifestyle and wasn’t amused by her decision to work in England. Another story alleges that the singer knew the relationship was over after overhearing Turner say or do something on their Ring camera. Nothing has been confirmed, pointing back to the saying “don’t believe everything you see on the Internet.”

Jonas is in the midst of a mega world tour — THE TOUR — with brothers Nick and Kevin. The run, which covers the trio’s entire discography in a three hour set, kicked off with two nights on August 12 at Yankee Stadium in New York City before making its way to Dodger Stadium on Saturday. THE TOUR returns tomorrow, September 11, in Sacramento, CA.
