Celebs get nervous on first dates, too.
Kelsea Ballerini proved this when sharing an unreleased video she snapped prior to her first date with now boyfriend Chase Stokes.
The country music star uploaded a mirror POV video to TikTok showcasing her #OOTD for the date with the caption, “happy weekend heres a video i sent to my best friend before my first date with chase 🥹😭 #howdoidothis #rolllingupthewelcomemat”
In the video, she says Chase is picking her up and bringing her to a sushi place. She then looks at herself in the mirror and says, “you got this.” We love a self-motivating queen!

The two were first seen back in January of 2023, so we can only assume this video was taken sometime around that date. Since then, Stokes and Ballerini have become a fan-favorite couple and were most recently seen dancing around the floor of the Jonas Brothers‘ THE TOUR at Yankee Stadium on August 12.

In late February, the “hole in the bottle” singer joined Alex Cooper for her Call Her Daddy podcast where Ballerini revealed how she and the Outer Banks actor connected.
Cooper asked, “How did you guys meet?” and Ballerini proudly responds with, “I slid into his DMS.” We love a modern love story!
More recently, Kelsea Ballerini released an album earlier this month titled Rolling up the Welcome Mat (Food Good). This 7-track re-released EP shares the real and raw changes made to these songs as they were performed live that Kelsea felt was necessary to re-share for her own story.
