20-year-old Jordan Chiles has been involved in gymnastics since the age of seven. Her chances of an Olympic future skyrocketed after moving training gyms; She went from Vancouver, Washington to World Champions Center of Spring, Texas in 2019, where she became training mates with now teammate Simone Biles during their time in the gym. Biles and Lee were guaranteed spots due to their top scores during trials, but Chiles took a less conventional route. She was named to the team by a USA Gymnastics committee. She has been a member of the United States Women’s National Gymnastics team since 2013, and was the 2018 Pacific Rim champion on vault and floor exercise.
FUN FACT: She was named after Michael Jordan and proudly wore Jordans with her warmups after being announced a Team USA member for the 2021 Olympics.
