Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa have cooked up a hot new song and music video with the release of “Sweetest Pie” this Friday (March 11), and we can’t get enough of it.
The Grammy Award-winners came together to create the first single off of Megan’s forthcoming album, which is expected to drop soon. The song combines the cool pop sound that Dua is famous for, mixed with Megan’s iconic rapping skills.
The music video, which also dropped today, was directed by Dave Meyers and produced by Freenjoy. The concept, which includes a Hansel & Gretel storybook feel to it, was created by Megan herself.
In the music video, the two singers lure two men into their home that is filled with sweets. At first the men seem to be enjoying themselves. Things start to turn into a terrifying nightmare as they are soon bubbling in a cauldron. The men try to escape and while they do, they gather a group of other men to try and take down the duo. The group ties up the two singers in an attempt to burn them. Dua and Megan have other plans as they use the fire that surrounds them to turn all the men into ash.
The two singers have been crushing it in the music world! In 2021, Megan won three Grammy Awards and the rapper is also currently nominated for the 2022 Grammy Awards. Megan is also expected to appear on three-select dates for Dua’s Future Nostalgia World Tour, which has been going on since the beginning of February. Dua has also collected a Grammy Award herself for her song “Levitating.”
