It’s getting hot at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards!
The BBMAs have announced the first round of performers for the upcoming award show, and it’s definitely a lineup that’s worth watching. Hot girl coach Megan Thee Stallion, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Latto, Rauw Alejandro, and Burna Boy are all confirmed to take the stage and perform their biggest hits when the show airs on Sunday, May 15th on NBC and Peacock.
Megan Thee Stallion and Burna Boy, who both have blown up on the music scene, will each make their debut performance at the BBMAs. The Red Hot Chili Peppers, who recently released their album Unlimited Love, will make their comeback to the Billboard stage 23 years since their last performance.

It’s not a surprise that some of these performers are finalists for this year’s award show. Rauw Alejandro is also set to make his BBMA debut, however, he’s up for four awards including Top Latin Album.
Rap Female Artist, Latto, has also had an explosive year with her track “Big Energy,” which reached No.1 on the Billboard Charts. Latto will most likely perform this hit song at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards.
The performer reveal follows the most recent announcement regarding this year’s show, which was that R&B singer Mary J. Blige will be honored with the prestigious Icon Award. Between this and the first set of performers, the 2022 Billboard Music Awards are sure to be an epic show.
