Happy New Music Friday!
Halsey is returning to the game with newest offering “Ego” which officially dropped today (September 6). The song was first teased at her show on August 14 where she confessed just how new the song was.
“I’ve been teasing a new song for the past couple of days. You guys are the first people in the world to hear it… lowkey even before some of the people who work at the label,” she shared.
The single is the fourth to be released from her forthcoming, highly-anticipated record, The Great Impersonator, coming October 25 and follows previously released singles, “Lonely is the Muse,” “Lucky” and “The End.” It’s her fifth studio album and her first since her 2021 release, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, and has been detailed to be confessional and vulnerable, as she’s stated, “I made this record in the space between life and death, and it feels like I’ve waited an eternity for you to have it.”

Camila Cabello has released C, XOXO – Magic City Edition, the deluxe version of her June record C, XOXO, which features lead single “GODSPEED,” as well as, “baby pink” with Eem Triplin, “Come Show Me” and “can friends kiss?”
Cabello posted in a post announcing the release of the project, saying, “Always more stories to tell. Some new songs for your night in Magic City.”
This announcement comes right after rumored theories that Sabrina Carpenter’s latest project, Short n’ Sweet, includes songs about a love triangle between Sabrina, Camila and Shawn Mendes.
