“Red Ruby Da Sleeze” dropped today (March 3rd) on all music streaming platforms, serving as Nicki Minaj’s first solo single since her smash hit “Super Freaky Girl” made waves on both social media AND the charts this past summer. We can already tell that this hot new track will be yet another success for the Queen of Rap herself!
The chart-topping superstar announced the release of this single exactly one week ago (February 24th), by posting a series of teasers to social media. Within these teasers, we learned both the outfit details AND location details for the music video that was to accompany “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” leaving every fan on the edge of their seat.
It was revealed that Minaj would be wearing a Vintage Jean Paul Gaultier pon mi dress in the music video, as well as St. Laurent heels, however, the location of the video is what made this release extra special…
As all Barbz know, Nicki Minaj is from Trinidad and Tobago, which is exactly where she decided to shoot the music video for this hot new track! The award-winning artist took to Instagram to share a wholesome family photo from her time there, indicating that “seeing them was the best part of the trip.”
