You know what day it is! New Music Friday is back and better than ever today (February 9) with a slew of projects that we can’t get enough of.
Singer + songwriter Noah Kahan is closing out a chapter. His Stick Season era is coming to an end with his latest release, Stick Season (Forever). The collection includes three new songs – “Forever”, “You’re Gonna Go Far” with Brandi Carlile and “Paul Revere” with Gregory Alan Isakov.
Kahan said in a press release, “I am excited and kind of sad to be releasing Forever, alongside these two dream collaborations with Brandi Carlile and Gregory Alan Isakov. Firstly, I’m grateful and beyond proud to be sharing these two songs with artists that have soundtracked my entire life. Gregory and Brandi have written songs that have carried me through pain, loneliness, dramatic life changes, and the entirety of my career. I am so honored to have them on this final re-release.”

Pop songstress Zara Larsson delivered her long-awaited record third album, Venus – a gift that we needed this week out via Sommer House and Epic. The singer collaborated with monumental names – Rick Nowels (Lana Del Rey) and Danja (Britney Spears) – for this collection, and houses lead single “Can’t Tame Her” and “On My Love” with David Guetta.
Nashville songwriter and indie darling Madi Diaz exceeded all expectations with her sixth body of work, Weird Faith. This record offers a new prolific outlook from her 2021 album, History of a Feeling, and processes her last relationship, as she wrote the entire LP during that time. The record features a collaboration with country music songsmith Kacey Musgraves.
Other albums we suggest you check out are Usher’s Coming Home, which features collaborations with Summer Walker, Burna Boy and BTS’s Jung Kook and arrives just in time for the star’s halftime performance at the Super Bowl this Sunday, February 11th. Don’t miss this one!

Maggie Rogers put forth her new single, “Don’t Forget Me,” coupled with the song’s music video and announcement that her new album Don’t Forget Me is coming on April 12th. The body of work took the songwriter five days to make and was recorded with co-producer Ian Fitchuk at New York’s Electric Lady Studios – the same studio where Kacey Musgraves made her newest record Deeper Well at coming March 15th.
Rogers says about her forthcoming record, “There’s a warmth to Don’t Forget Me. In many ways, it feels like coming home, returning to the music and songwriting that grounded me when I first started making art in my bedroom when I was 16. I wanted to make an album that sounded like a Sunday afternoon. Worn in denim. A drive in your favorite car. No make up, but the right amount of lipstick. Something classic. I hope you love this album as much as I do. I’m beaming today. And I can’t wait to share all this everything with you.”
