New Music Friday: Take a Trip to “Barbie World” With Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice, Just in Time for Greta Gerwig’s Highly-Anticipated Film

After the viral success of “Princess Diana,” Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice are back with yet ANOTHER collaboration, but this time with an extra special guest…

The chart-topping superstars are making their mark on Greta Gerwig‘s highly-anticipated film, Barbie, by releasing their own rendition of “Barbie Girl,” featuring the one and only Aqua herself.

Barbie World” hit all music streaming platforms today (June 23rd) as a part of this week’s New Music Friday, combining a sample of Aqua’s smash hit “Barbie Girl” with elements of rap and hip-hop — It is truly a must-listen!

Fans have been counting down the days until the release of this hot new track, ever since Nicki Minaj announced “Barbie World” via Twitter on June 10th.

It’s #Barbie B!ch If you still in doubt 😉🎀 @icespicee_ JUNE 23rd PRE-SAVE #BarbieWorld NOW,” she shared with her 28 million followers, amassing over 100,000 likes on that tweet alone.

Given that the hip-hop queen has always used Barbie as a part of her artistry and image, this announcement sent Nicki’s fans (AKA “Barbz”) into an absolute frenzy — Based on the feedback so far, they are NOT disappointed in the brand new song!

The legendary duo’s previous collaboration, “Princess Diana,” peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Will “Barbie World” surpass this ranking? We will just have to wait and see…
