Multi-platinum singer + songwriter Tate McRae debuted the full version of her viral TikTok song, “exes,” leading our New Music Friday for today (November 17).
Written with OneRepublic‘s Ryan Tedder and Tyler Spry, “exes” is the second single, following “greedy”, to be offered off of the songstresses upcoming sophomore record, THINK LATER, out December 8th via Ministry of Sound.
About the song, McRae confesses, “We wrote ‘exes’ on the last day of the album making process. It was kind of like the last hurrah that Ryan Tedder and I wrote I legitimately 30 minutes. It talks about my flaws in a relationship, and some of my self-deprecating and self-sabotaging tendencies. The music video was so insane to film – getting to dance that much with such incredible girls was a dream.”

Drake has issued a six-song follow up to For All The Dogs entitled For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition while Sabrina Carpenter released “fruitcake” – a holiday collection featuring songs “A Nonsense Christmas,” which is a rendition of her hit single “Nonsense,” and “Cindy Lou Who.” Carpenter spills, “Just sayin’, I never seen Santa Claus and Sabrina Carpenter in the same room.”
