One of the most consistent defenders in the NFL has added more to his bank account, as Nick Bosa has signed a five-year $170 million contract extension with the San Francisco 49ers.
The former Saint Thomas Aquinas student-athlete is one of the most hardworking players in the game and deserves this historic deal.

The reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year has tremendously impacted the elite San Francisco 49ers defensive unit since being drafted second overall in the 2019 NFL Draft. Bosa was the Defensive Rooke of the Year in 2019, has been a Pro Bowl selection three times, a First-team All-Pro member in 2022, and has made more history with this massive contract extension.
Bosa has been a main focal point of this great 49ers defense and is arguably the heart and soul of that unit. This season, Bosa is set to keep his crown and win back-to-back DPOY Awards, which has only been done four times; therefore, Bosa would be in legendary company with the likes of Bears legend Mike Singletary, Steelers legend Mean Joe Greene, beloved Bills alum Bruce Smith, and arguably the most outstanding middle linebacker in NFL history, Ray Lewis.
Bosa and the Niners will begin the 2023-24 NFL season on the road against a young Steelers team with some special youngsters in quarterback Kenny Pickett and rookie Joey Porter Jr., to name a few. Bosa’s status had been up in the air, but it is now confirmed that he will be able to suit up and help his team bring home a W.
